Do I need to call to keep my place on the waiting list?
No, it will make no difference to your place on the waiting list if you call regularly. Applications are considered based upon the above criteria.
When do I add my child’s name to your waiting list?
At the start of the year they turn two.
Can you tell me what number I am on the waiting list?
No, we cannot advise families of where they are on the waiting list this is not known until we begin the process of sending out letters of offer.
Are children that attend a three year old program guaranteed a place in four year old kindergarten the next year?
Yes, although it is not possible to guarantee that you will receive your first preference.
What are the categories that are given priority on your waiting list?
Children in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
Children in families which include a disabled person
Children in families on low incomes
Children in families with non-English speaking background
Children in socially isolated families
Children of single parents
Within these guidelines, Isabel Henderson Kindergarten will give the following groups priority -
Children of current or past families of Isabel Henderson
